Dr. Aguirre of Denver’s Aguirre Specialty Care Lectures on New Frontiers in Cosmetic Gynecology & Intimate Aesthetics With Presentation on ‘The Aging Vulva: Characteristics & Options’
(November, 2013) Denver, CO – Dr. Oscar A. Aguirre, the board-certified, fellowship-trained urogynecologist and medical director of Denver’s Aguirre Specialty Care, recently attended The Inaugural European College of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery Annual Congress in Barcelona, Spain to present on new advances in female cosmetic gynecology and intimate aesthetics. His lecture, titled ‘The Aging Vulva: Characteristics and Options’ was presented to a variety of leaders in the field of cosmetic enhancement with Dr. Aguirre chief among them.
‘The conference was a wonderful experience,’ says Dr. Aguirre. ‘I met many cosmetic surgeons from all over the world who were very intrigued by cosmetic gynecology and the procedures that I provide for my Denver patients. Many surgeons approached me to congratulate me on my presentation, as well as comment on how ‘beautiful’ my post operative photos were. I’m currently in discussion with the organizer to participate in cosmetic gynecology courses in Europe as well as participating in next year’s congress.’
Dr. Aguirre’s presentation focused on addressing and correcting vaginal conditions related to aging and menopause, such as dark, uneven and enlarged labia minora, a loose feeling that decreases sexual sensation and more. ‘Baby boomer women came of age during the sexual revolution and want to feel confident as well as enjoy sex. Thankfully, they are more apt than previous generations to recognize that these issues can be remedied with procedures like laser vaginal rejuvenation, labiaplasty, vaginoplasty and more. I was very happy to share my experience, techniques and knowledge of these procedures with other physicians, as I know that patients all over the world will benefit.’
