38 yo mother of one from Highlands Ranch, Colorado with a five year history of urinary incontinence referred by her local OBGYN to Dr. Oscar Aguirre, a renowned Cosmetic Surgeon and Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist of Parker, Colorado. She describes her symptoms as voiding frequently throughout the day and being awakened with a strong painful urge to void at least twice at night. She does experience stress-associated urinary incontinence and leaking throughout the day but does feel that she is able to empty her bladder completely. For years she has been bothered by abnormal uterine bleeding and even after an endometrial ablation three years prior, she has persistent symptoms for which a vaginal hysterectomy was recommended. After further discussion with Dr. Aguirre, she is also bothered by the aesthetic appearance of her vulva and decreased sensation with sex. She does experience pain with deep penetration as well. After a thorough pelvic examination and discussing all surgical and non-surgical options, she would like to proceed with definitive surgical therapy in the future. She returned to Dr. Aguirre 5 years later ready to move forward with recommended surgery. Dr. Aguirre ordered additional testing prior to scheduling surgery in order to better elucidate her bladder and urethral function. After an examination and discussing any changes in her symptoms she moved forward with scheduling. Dr. Aguirre performed in an out-patient surgical center, Rectocele Repair to address her Pelvic Relaxation and Suburethral Sling to address her Urinary Incontinence. Dr. Aguirre also performed a Vaginoplasty, Laser Reduction Labiaplasty of the Labia Minora, and Clitoral Hood Reduction with Clitoropexy in order to address her aesthetic concerns. She returned for her regularly scheduled postop visits, very pleased with her results.
