53 yo mother of one from Ft. Collins, Colorado referred by a local plastic surgeon to the office of master cosmetic surgeon and nationally renowned Urogynecologist Dr. Oscar A. Aguirre of Denver, Colorado. Since she was a young teenager, she has been bothered by her large dark labia minora, which has worsened with aging. She had a term operative vaginal delivery with forceps assistance at which time she incurred significant obstetrical trauma. This was repaired at delivery but she never felt normal. She has never had great sexual pleasure and desires to enhance her ability to grip and have sensation in orgasms. Pelvic examination performed with a chaperone present and patient observing with a hand-held mirror reveals early labia majora deflation without significant laxity. There is severe labial hypertrophy with hyperpigmentation of labia minora, excess and redundant lateral prepuce with ptosis, and excess perineal skin. After discussing all surgical and nonsurgical options she was eager to move forward with scheduling definitive surgical intervention. Dr. Aguirre performed, in an in-office surgical setting, Laser Reduction Labiaplasty of Labia Minora, Clitoral Hood Reduction with Clitoropexy, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Injections to Incision Sites, and Excision of Excess Perineal Skin. She returned to the office for her regularly scheduled postop appointments very happy with her results.
