55 yo mother of four from Evergreen, Colorado with a 4 month history of vaginal discomfort and rawness feeling in the vagina. She saw her gynecologist who suggested she may have vaginal prolapse and that she should see a specialist. She did some research through the internet and located the office of Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist and renowned Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Oscar Aguirre of Denver, Colorado. During her initial consultation with Dr. Aguirre she also described a 5-month history of painful sex, possibly due to vaginal dryness, difficulties with achieving orgasm and being bothered by large labia minora. Dr. Aguirre performed a thorough pelvic examination with a chaperone present and patient observing with a handheld mirror. Examination revealed stage II Cystocele and stage I Rectocele. There is moderate urogenital atrophy present. There is bilateral labial hypertrophy with hyperpigmentation and a large ptotic prepuce as well. Dr. Aguirre relayed all surgical and nonsurgical options. She desired to avoid surgery and was interested in nonsurgical vaginal rejuvenation. She began a series of FemiLift laser vaginal resurfacing treatments. In addressing her long history of aesthetic concerns regarding her vulva, Dr. Aguirre performed an in-office, awake, Laser Reduction Labiaplasty of the Labia Minora, Clitoral Hood Reduction and Clitoropexy with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to Surgical Site. She returned to the office for her regularly scheduled postop visits combined with completing the series of vaginal laser FemiLift treatments.
