It was recently announced that Dr. Aguirre has been nominated for Denver’s prestigious 5280 “Top Doc” Awards in the category of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Aguirre was previously nominated in the same category last year.

Dr. Aguirre has been recognized as a renowned, pre-eminent pelvic surgeon and urogynecologist in the past as well. He has previously won numerous awards and honors.
In 2006, he was awarded Outstanding Resident/Fellow Paper at the AUGS 27th Annual Scientific Meeting. In the 2002-2003 academic year, he was awarded the Clinical Staff Award, Excellence in Resident Education at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. In both the 1996-1997 and 1995-1996 academic year he received the Student Voice Award for Excellence in Education at KUMC School of Medicine. Prior to that, in 1994-1995, he was honored as Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year at the same institution.
