42 yo mother of two from Aurora, Colorado, with a 20-year history of pelvic relaxation symptoms, was referred to the office of Board Certified, Fellowship-Trained Urogynecologist and renowned Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Oscar Aguirre of Denver, Colorado by a friend of hers that is also a patient of Dr. Aguirre. She presents describing a general discomfort in her “reproductive area for almost two decades.” Additional compartments are that of large and long labia which contributes to discomfort with exercise and sex as well as persistent anal skin tags. She describes vaginal looseness and stress incontinence as well but voiced primary concerns regarding the aesthetic appearance of her vulva and therefore was the focus of the exam. Dr. Aguirre performed a thorough pelvic examination which revealed bilateral labial hypertrophy with hyperpigmentation, left side greater than right, and the presence of three anal skin tags. After discussing all surgical and nonsurgical options she was interested in proceeding with in-office aesthetic vulvar surgery in the form of Laser Reduction Labiaplasty of the Labia Minora, Excision of Excess Perineal Skin and Excision of Anal Skin Tags. Dr. Aguirre performed all procedures and the patient returned for her regularly scheduled postop visits doing very well, with excellent results.
